This week we will be working on Oceanography!
Monday: Introduction to the science of Oceanography. We will be talking about the roles these scientists play in our exploration of the ocean.
Homework: Please read and take notes on the handouts.
Tuesday: Our class will focus on the Intertidal Zone of the ocean - what are its characteristics and which animals make this region their home.
For homework, please choose one organism we have discussed and find 10 facts about it.
Wednesday: This time we will be focusing on the Neritic Zone of the ocean. We will cover the same topics as yesterday.
Homework: Please complete workbook pages 178-179.
Thursday: Today we focus on the Bathyal Zone. We will be learning about all the mysterious organisms that exist here, as well as the tools scientists use to reach these depths.
Homework: Find the names of some famous submersibles.
Friday: Review of the Ocean Zones. We will be starting an independent project, which can be found on my Assignments page!
