This page is here so you can learn a little bit more about me! My name is Kate Buehler, and I am a 24 year old Aquarius, which is a very good indicator of my personality! I grew up in Bucks County, PA and attended Villa Joseph Marie H.S. from 1998-2002. I then went on to earn my Biology degree from Saint Joseph's University in 2006. While at SJU, I worked in the Animal Behavior Laboratory doing research on the mating behaviors of fruit flies. I was also a sister in Alpha Phi Fraternity, where I participated in lots of fun social events and philanthropic projects!
I began working at Thomas Jefferson University immediately following graduation. I was a transmission electron microscopist who studied the collagen structures in mouse tendon, cornea, and skin. My microscope was huge and took up an entire room!
I got to see some awesome stuff!

I also love to travel. When I was much younger I had the opportunity to travel to Europe and take a road trip around the U.S. and Canada. In the past few years or so I have been to Miami, the Bahamas, Daytona, the Dominican Republic, Denver, Oregon, and San Francisco. Here's a picture of me in one of the beautiful vineyards just north of San Fran!

I also truly enjoy reading, and I currently belong to a Jane Austen Book Club. Science is my passion - I love to teach it and explore new topics. I guess you could call me a science dork at heart! :) If there is anything else you want to know about me, just ask!!
